About

“I have always loved to draw and what started as a hobby while studying Marketing at Lancaster University became a real passion and I was soon drawing commission pieces and selling my work.  In 2016 I took the decision to pursue a long-held dream and become a full-time artist, in the spring of that year I was delighted to open my gallery in my hometown of Hawes.

With the picturesque views, vibrant communities and vast array of animals and wildlife right on my doorstep I am proud to called the Yorkshire Dales my home.  There is inspiration at every turn and for that I feel very grateful. Working with coloured pencil allows me to show intricate detail and let the characters of the animals really shine through. I love the feel and control of drawing with pencil, the textures, vibrancy and detail I can achieve with this medium is like no other. "

Stacey has had her work exhibited nationally and in 2017 was delighted to be recognised as one of Yorkshires leading wildlife artists.  In 2018 Stacey was a finalist in the category “New Starter Business” at the Yorkshire Choice Awards, and followed that up in 2019 by winning “Best Creative Business in the North” at the Rural Business Awards.  That same year Stacey was interviewed on stage at Countryfile Live by Jules Hudson on the success of growing a rural business.

Throughout her career Stacey has supported the charities that mean the most to her, most notably the Yorkshire Dales National Park Red Squirrel Conservation, The Royal British Legion and Brooke Action for Working Donkeys and Mules.
